Texaf Bilembo
TEXAF BILEMBO is an atypical cultural and educational space inaugurated on November 7, 2013 in a disused textile factory building of more than 1,000m² within the UTEXAFRICA concession. Imagined by Chantal Tombu , art historian specializing in African art, and Alain Huart , writer-photographer in love with the Congo, as well as by Christine Decelle , artist, TEXAF BILEMBO aims to introduce the public to the natural and cultural heritage of the DRC. Today the place also has a permanent collection nicknamed the “Little Museum”, an exhibition room , a contemporary art gallery , an art shop with local products and a bookstore as well. than a library.
