Taxispalais Kunsthalle Tirol
At the Kunsthalle Tirol, the Art Gallery Tyrol, the focus is on contemporary art and issues of present-day life. Probably the most famous street in Innsbruck, the Maria Theresa road with its Anna Column, is also home to the famous Taxispalais (Kunsthalle Tirol). Artist talks, lectures, performances and panel discussions join the rich and international range of exhibitions on offer here throughout the year, which are much visited. The building that houses the Kunsthalle is the TaxisPalais, a baroque aristocratic palace that was adapted to its new function.
